Rinkya has helped people buy serious collectibles from Japan for 25+ years. Authentication is the next layer: evidence capture, tamper‑evident sealing, and a public record designed for resale scrutiny.
Every completed authentication results in a public, verifiable record tied to the physical item.

Collectibles have matured into a serious asset class. As values rise and resale scrutiny increases, documentation, condition evidence, and post-authentication integrity matter more than hype.
Serious buyers want evidence: condition, materials, and a record tied to the physical objectso resale isn't "trust me."
Our output is built to survive marketplace and auction scrutiny: documented imaging + tamper-evident sealing + verifiable record.

Magnification helps document linework, pigment behavior, printing patterns, paper/film texture, and signs of alteration. We capture micrographs for the record.
The seal ties the verification record to the physical object. If the seal is broken, the record shows it's no longer in the certified state.
IPFS (InterPlanetary File System) is a public, decentralized storage network. We publish the evidence bundle to IPFS so the record exists independently of us and remains publicly accessible over time. The blockchain anchor timestamps the record hash, making any changes detectable. Together, they ensure the item has a permanent, verifiable record tied to its ID even if Rinkya were ever offline.
No. We require physical submission for certification tiers because the seal + record must be tied to the physical object.
Archival repacking depends on the collectible's materials and construction. When included, we use museum‑grade, acid‑free, breathable materials selected for the specific item (paper, film, paint, metal, wood, or mixed media).
Packaging may include inert sleeves, custom supports, and non‑reactive enclosures designed to reduce handling stress while allowing the item to breathe. Advanced and Expert tiers include archival repacking by default unless you explicitly opt out. Basic tier items are only opened or repacked if required to complete authentication, and we will always contact you for approval first.
We can review signatures as part of an object-based certification, but we do not offer "signature-only" authentication as a standalone service.
If evidence is insufficient, we may return an inconclusive outcome rather than a pass/fail statement. (Final fee rules TBD.)
We collaborate with category specialists to provide expert authentication across collectible domains.
